Born in 1928 - Jack Carter raced midgets for 6 years at Windsor - Westmead and Cumberland Oval - Parramatta during the late 1950’s, early 1960s and also raced an MG Special at Mt Druitt and Mt Panorama Bathurst - NSW.
Jack turned 85 in May 2013 and below are a few of he and his wife Ivy's memories of his midget racing. Jack raced car No.26 which he bought from Charlie Cam. He later purchased a midget off Jack Bissaker and raced it to a win in the 1961 Golden Fleece Derby at Westmead Speedway - NSW.
Ivy and Jack were very kind to donate some old programmes
to me at 'Vintage Speedway' & 'Just Midgets' for these websites.
