The car was originally built from parts sourced in the US by airline pilot Vern Cerche'. Don Mackay bought it off Cerche" with the V860 engine and ran the car as # 67. January 1960 - Les Cooper  ( above left), Peter Johnson (above right) and Johnny Harvey drove it for Mackay.
Don Mackay sells #67( 13)  to Aub Cherry in Victoria  and he runs it as #V99. (above) Cherry and #99 at Tracey's Speedway in Melbourne.

The Trackburner takes part in demonstration runs at the Brisbane Ekka in 2002 .
